"Assault" to the Sardinian sea, the Regional Council is mobilizing against wind turbines

The Regional Council is also mobilizing against the requests for concessions for offshore wind farms in the Sardinian seas .

Three motions of the M5S, the Psd'Az and the Pd are under discussion. The aim is to arrive at a unitary agenda , but the result is not obvious.

"Energy speculators must be stopped at all costs - said the pentastellato group leader Roberto Li Gioi , illustrating one of the three documents - they want to steal our wind, sell it for its weight in gold, without leaving even a penny here".

Elena Fancello (Psd'Az) recalled that "no one here is against renewables, but we are against the establishment of new easements aimed at the interests of others".

"We do not accept that common goods are permanently compromised - explained Roberto Deriu (Pd) - because Sardinia has to support a gigantic effort in the presence of an energy surplus produced and in the presence of all the easements that the island has already granted. ? We need the unity of the Chamber and I hope for a joint document because we are talking about the project of building a Sardinia around Sardinia made up of gigantic plants ".

Currently there are thirteen requests for wind farms, corresponding to seven hundred blades from three hundred meters in height, capable of providing a total energy power of almost ten thousand megawatts.

In the Chamber also the councilor of the Mixed Valerio De Giorgi : with the revocation of the house arrest, the suspension taken as a result of Severino is no longer valid.

The first of the non-elected members of the Fortza Paris list (Cagliari district), Pierpaolo Congiu , who had replaced De Giorgi, swearing in on May 19th, automatically lapsed from office .
