In Italy, according to the latest research, about 600 thousand people are affected by this disease, one case for every 100 inhabitants. Parkinson's disease is a neurodegenerative disease, an extrapyramidal syndrome characterized by muscle rigidity that manifests itself with resistance to passive movements, tremor that occurs during the state of rest and can increase in the case of a state of anxiety and bradykinesia that causes difficulty in starting and finish the movements. These symptoms then result in disturbed balance, awkward gait, and hunched posture. Other symptoms can be depression and slow speech. Later, cognitive and behavioral problems can arise.

The talk "15 minutes with ..." is edited by Aou Cagliari News, the newspaper of the university hospital.

Agile and simple format, it includes 15 minutes of question and answer with the specialists and the possibility for the public to ask questions live.
