The Portovesme crisis ends up at the ministry. Adolfo Urso , Minister of Enterprise and Made in Italy, has called a crisis table for September 24: "We will agree on a strategy to deal with the crisis caused by the company's decisions, we will work to prevent Glencore from abandoning the country without assuming its responsibilities ", announces the government representative Meloni, recalling that "the remediation of the site must also be ensured".

The minister says he is willing to apply the legislation set out in decree 104 of 2023 which provides for the revocation of incentives and the return of those already obtained by the company .

"Our commitment - he continues - will be constant and firm in asking the company to address these issues seriously and concretely in order to find solutions that can reduce the negative impact on the territory and on the national production system. Faced with this scenario, in close collaboration with the Sardinia Region, we are committed to implementing all the necessary actions to safeguard the national economy and to protect the socioeconomic fabric of the territory, recognizing the strategic importance of the production of essential goods such as those currently handled by Glencore . We will move with determination and perseverance in unity of purpose with the other institutions and with the unions, as we have done in every crisis situation in this legislature".
