The Classical Music Festival Costa Smeralda, the event with great classical music organized by the Consorzio Costa Smeralda, returns to Porto Cervo. Four dates: starting tomorrow, then the evenings of Monday, Wednesday and Friday scheduled at the Conference Center at 9:30 pm with free admission.
The calendar of events
Saturday 7th September
Concert by violinist Anna Tifu accompanied by the Antonio Vivaldi Orchestra of Venice with its exceptional soloists, led by Konzertmeister Guglielmo De Stasio. The program includes “Antiche Arie e Danze” by Ottorino Respighi and “Le Quattro Stagioni Ricomposte” by Max Richter.
Monday 9th September
Concert by pianist Louis Lortie, concerto for piano and orchestra in A major K 414 by WA Mozart; followed by the Fourth Ballade by F. Chopin for piano solo and will conclude the evening with the Quintet for piano and strings by R. Schumann.
Wednesday, September 11
Concert by pianist Luigi Carroccia, who will perform the First Concerto for piano orchestra (version for piano and strings). The Orchestra Antonio Vivaldi of Venice will conclude the evening with the performance of the Serenade by PI Tchaikovsky.
Friday 13th September
Concert by Maestro Carlo Torlontano, who will perform with his particular instrument, the Corno delle Alpi (Alphorn). During the evening, WA Mozart Divertimento K 136, A. Zimmermann Sinfonia Pastorizia, A. Vivaldi Concerto for violin and Orchestra “Il Favorito”, L. Mozart Sinfonia Pastorella, F. Mendelsshon-Bartholdy Symphony No. 10 for strings will be performed.
