Pittulongu is traditionally the beach of the Olbiesi, due to its convenient location, just north of the city.

In 2001 an important redevelopment project of the area behind the beach was finally started, which will be transformed into an equipped park. Availability of bars, hotels, restaurants, shops and various services. Hardly interesting nature, but beautiful views of the shore; large; fine white sand; shallow blue sea; very crowded in high season; not so clean, sometimes with banks of beached Posidonia. City of Olbia a little further south, with the Romanesque church of S. Simplicio and the Archaeological Museum.

HOW TO REACH IT - It can be easily reached by taking a short (400 m) detour from the old Olbia-Golfo Aranci road (sp 82; about 6 km), or even from the new road, returning back to the intersection where these two paths join (crossroads with reports; the beach is visible and identifiable).
