"Bologna has a strong squad, built for a top seven finish. Therefore, they have ambition, regardless of what the current standings might indicate." Fabio Pisacane is keeping his guard up and relaunching the challenge after the defeat in Monza, ahead of tomorrow afternoon's match at the Unipol Domus against Bologna .
"It hasn't been a great week, but even after losing to Inter and Verona, we were exhausted," the Rossoblu coach stated at a press conference in Asseminello. " I want to see a different Cagliari than the one we had on Monday. A Cagliari that represents me: always sweating for the shirt and playing with blood in our eyes."
"We carefully analyzed the match against Monza, as always, but we certainly didn't need to do so to understand what we were lacking," the Rossoblu coach is keen to point out. "We lacked attitude. And attitude should never be lacking." Three matches are now scheduled in eight days between Bologna, Roma, and Lazio, but Pisacane doesn't want to hear about rotation: "We're taking it game by game, and today the one against Bologna is the most important. I may have an idea, but in football, everything changes." He does, however, imply that sooner or later Kofler, Carlos, and Fadera will all get their chance to start.
Everyone in except Idrissi and Felici. "Trepy has recovered, but we're evaluating whether to send him to the Under-20s to help him break the ice ." How much of a burden will certain absences have on Bologna? "I don't think they will, given that they have double and triple players in every position," says Pisacane, who also addresses the recent change in the Emilian dugout. "I felt sorry for Tedesco," he admits. "It was nice to see a coach like him, with different ideas, in our league. His dismissal was confirmation of how important results are. I think he was just unlucky." Equally complimentary is his replacement, Palladino: "He stood out for his successes with various teams. Even though he's young and just starting out like me, he's showing that he's an important coach."
