Punched by Gerard Depardieu because he was annoyed by the photos he was taking of him in Rome. This is what happened, according to an initial reconstruction by investigators, to the photojournalist Rino Barillari.

The French actor, 75 years old, had lunch with some people at the tables of Harry's Bar, a famous venue on Via Veneto.

Unnerved by Barillari's photos, he attacked him near Largo Fellini, hitting him with two or three punches in the face . Then he got into an NCC car and left.

Rescued by the 118 medics, Barillari was transported to hospital under code green for a wound at the height of the eyebrow. The police, who intervened on site, are collecting testimonies. Video surveillance images will also be examined.
