Forty years old, the Roman referee boasts 41 appearances in Serie A, where he is refereeing for the first time this 2024-25 season.

In his career, Fourneau has refereed Cagliari three times in the top league, one win and two draws for the Sardinians. To stick to last season, in 2024 he refereed Cagliari-Salernitana 4-2 and Inter-Cagliari 2-2.
