The Italian volleyball team, led by Julio Velasco, beat Turkey 3-0 (25-22, 25-19, 25-22) in the semi-final and are flying to the final where they will meet the USA.

In the quarterfinals, Sardinian Alessia Orro, Paola Egonu and teammates had overwhelmed Serbia with the same score. Sunday they return to the field for the gold.
