«It is a case of homonymy, or Roberto Raimondi whom the regional council has appointed director general of the office of the management authority of the Eni Cbc Mediterranean Basin program (a sort of regional authority that deals with cooperation between cross-border countries) is the same one that appears in the Panama Papers scandal? ».

The question , posed in the tone of someone who already knows the answer, came from Massimo Zedda (Progressives), while the Finance law is being debated in the Regional Council. His attention was drawn to an amendment concerning the methods of control of the Sardinian body which deals with Euro-Mediterranean cooperation through the management of important funding channels. And Zedda wanted to see clearly.
His question for now remains without an official answer . Certainly a Roberto Raimondi has, or had, roles in companies registered in the complex world of tax havens linked to Mossack Fonseca, the Panamanian company queen of the offshore industry which was shed light on by the international investigation into the Panama Papers: billionaire flows emerged towards places where the Italian tax authorities could not reach.

We receive and publish:

Prof. Raimondi firmly denies having ever had relations with Messrs Mossack and Messrs Fonseca and/or having been involved in any way in the "Panama Papers" scandal.

The position of Prof. Raimondi as well as your clean record had already been carefully examined both by the Presidency of the Autonomous Region of Sardinia and by the European Commission, before proceeding with your appointment as director general of the Management Authority.

As proof of what has been said and of Prof. Raimondi's total non-involvement with the "panama papers", his certificate of records and the certificate of pending charges were delivered to the direction of the Unione Sarda.
