Othniël Raterink is a Cagliari player: the club announced the permanent acquisition of the Dutch player from De Graafschap with a contract until June 30, 2030.

Born in Winterswijk (Netherlands) in 2006, Raterink is a right-back who can play both as a winger in a back four or in a more advanced position, taking on the responsibility of covering the entire flank in both phases of play. He's a promising addition to Cagliari, who are bringing him to the island to work towards his progressive growth as an individual and within the team.

A graduate of De Graafschap, Raterink has played for the Dutch club his entire career, with the exception of a loan spell at Bayer Leverkusen (Germany) in the 2024/25 season. He was part of the Under-19 squad for the "Aspirin" (26 appearances in the league and Youth League, with 2 goals and 3 assists), although he trained primarily with Xabi Alonso's first team at the highest international level.

He made 34 appearances at youth level for De Graafschap, scoring six goals; this season he has made 23 appearances in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie, the second tier of the Dutch league, with three goals and four assists, plus another appearance in the Cup.
