The wave of death threats in Orgosolo does not stop, with new threatening graffiti appearing yesterday evening in the country church of San Marco, on the road to Montes .

This time, the one who paid the price was the commander of the local Carabinieri station, Brigadier Mattia Chessa.

Standing out in the churchyard, smeared with blackish spray paint, are the writings “You’re dead, I’ll shoot you, rest in peace,” accompanied by three crosses, a few weeks after threats appeared in the same church against two Forestas officials and the mayor Pasquale Mereu.

For the town, which is preparing for the funeral of Graziano Mesina, expected for tomorrow at 3 pm in the parish church, a climate of deep disbelief: "I perceive that behind these repeated acts - thunders the mayor Pasquale Mereu - there is the direction of someone, moved by the desire to muddy the waters and shake up the situation of calm that until a few months ago could be felt in our town. We are before the hand of someone who wants to destabilize a community that wants to look forward".
