Green light from the Budget Commission to 20 million euros to deal with the damage caused by the fires in July. It is the first of the four articles of the omnibus law approved today by the parliamentarian.

The text passed without changes: 10 million for the disbursement in favor of private subjects and productive activities, including agricultural ones; another seven million for contributions to local authorities and the regional forestry agency for territorial development for urgent interventions to restore damaged structures and infrastructures and safety conditions, and for interventions aimed at mitigating hydrogeological instability in the affected areas of the 'fire; finally, three million in favor of local authorities for the first urgent interventions in favor of agricultural entrepreneurs who have suffered damage. The opposition abstained.

The discussion resumes tomorrow at 10.30. A definitive go-ahead is possible during the week, but the law will not enter the Chamber before 12 October.
