Omnibus law: green light in committee, in the Chamber on 12 October
Fasolino: "I am confident that an agreement can be found with the opposition so that we can give the green light to the maneuver as soon as possible"
Green light in the Budget Committee to the omnibus law containing a variation of 300 million euros. The final sprint this morning, with the approval of the last twelve articles of the past text, at the end, with the opposition vote against.
Now ten days are starting for the minority relationship. The speaker will be Alessandro Solinas (M5s), with a majority of the chairman of the Budget Commission Valerio De Giorgi. The law should arrive in the Chamber on 12 October, therefore on the first day after the administrative office, while it is a question of passing the text by 20 October in order to avoid that part of the resources, especially those destined for refreshments, ends up in the economy.
"I am confident that an agreement can be found with the opposition so that the green light can be given as soon as possible", explained the councilor for the budget Giuseppe Fasolino. As for the risk of not being able to spend resources, "in reality - explained Fasolino - the most important investments are those related to the agreement signed in 2019 with the Government, and this money will not be lost, the problem arises for contributions and refreshments, but we will do everything possible to be able to spend everything ".
