Marta Maggetti from Cagliari, 28 years old, wins gold in women's windsurfing at the Olympics , in the waters of Marseille.
Silver was won by Israel's Sharon Kantor, bronze by Britain's Emma Wilson.
For the blue troop it is the sixth gold .
A triumph that rewrites the history of Italian sailing and which comes 24 years after that of Alessandra Sensini (who commented, visibly excited, for Rai), with the new IQFoil board which replaced the RS:X in Olympic competitions.
Maggetti won the three-way final and a guaranteed medal with the excellent regattas of the past few days and this morning's semi-final. In the last act she remained close to her opponents in the first part of the race, then with a tactical masterpiece she found the overtaking and the gold medal .
