Paolo Fresu wins the third edition of the “Joyce Lussu” Award created by Anpi Gallura and sponsored by the Municipality of Olbia, the Berlinguer Foundation and the Sardinia Foundation.

The jazz musician will be the protagonist of the event, on Wednesday, from 11 am, in the Simpliciana Library of Olbia, with a short musical intervention in front of an audience of students and teachers of Amsicora who created the object, a gift to the artist. The award, established to pay homage to prominent personalities with political and cultural commitment to peace and rights and against inequalities and dictatorships, is inspired by the life of the partisan and writer Joyce Lussu. Previously the “Joyce Lussu” awards had been awarded to the civil commitment singer, Leena Galte, and to the politician and sociologist Luigi Manconi.

The ceremony will be attended by the mayor of Olbia, Settimo Nizzi, the deputy mayor Sabrina Serra, Domenico Piccinnu, president of Anpi Gallura, Vincenzo Calò, of the national presidency of Anpi, the Pd municipal councilor, Ivana Russu, Giacomo Spissu, president of the Sardinia Foundation, and the journalist Antonio Rojch.
