It is called Colcò rosso and is the first school wine produced in Gallura . The first vintage, in 2023, was good, with a well-structured Cannonau and just enough tannic , the agricultural students of the viticultural-oenological technical course of the Amsicora Higher Institute of Olbia reply .
From the five hundred square meters of the small educational vineyard, 260 bottles of a light red were produced this year. Complete with a personalized label, created in the school's computer rooms, the red Colcò, from the toponym of the area in which the plot is located, is ready to be bottled.
«This year it is a lighter red, not a pure Cannonau like last year, because the terrible year produced few Cannonau grapes and we had to integrate them with blends from other vines including Sangiovese and Cagnulari», said the the Institute's agricultural contact, Sandro Piras.
The red Colcò is the result of the work of the students of the last classes , which began six years ago with the planting of the first vine cuttings, coincided with the start of the first viticultural and oenological course and which last year, with the first bottles, was able to toast the first eight graduates.
