On the eve of the season's debut in Serie D, Giancarlo Favarin's comments leave little to the imagination: "We're a work in progress, and we started late: we're going to Pomezia to give it our all, but with this awareness."

Olbia's coach sums up the situation for the Gallura team in one sentence, as they travel tomorrow to face newly promoted UniPomezia in the first round of the Coppa Italia. Last Sunday, the Romans eliminated Monastir on penalties, but it's easy to see they're more interested in the league than advancing in the Cup.

The same goes for Olbia, although Favarin isn't starting out defeated. On the contrary. "The boys are working with great commitment and dedication, and considering that all the games start 0-0," emphasizes the Pisan coach, "we can't rule out the possibility of achieving something interesting. We're hoping for it, no matter what."

For the away match against Lazio, Favarin has called up 18 players, in alphabetical order: Anelli, Ascioti, Biancu, Buschiazzo, Cabrera, Cubeddu, Garcia, Islam, Lucarelli, Marrazzo, Marroni, Maspero, Perrone, Petrone, Putzu, Staffa, Ragatzu and Vacca.

The teams will take to the field at the Pomezia Municipal Stadium at 3:00 p.m.: the match (which will be played behind closed doors) will be officiated by Andrea Augello from Agrigento.
