From the streets to the Hollywood set. Garçon is the four-legged star of Grown Ups 3, filmed yesterday in Olbia's historic center.
Among the extras who invaded Piazza Matteotti, the setting for the sequel to the American comedy by Netflix, there was also a foundling adopted from the I fratelli minori shelter run by the Lida branch of Olbia.
Arriving at the municipal dog shelter, the association says, "a skeleton covered in wounds, with pain in his eyes and an aggressive lymphoma to fight, today our Garçon, together with our volunteer Marco, has been chosen as an extra for the film "Grown Ups 3!"
After fourteen years, the legendary cast, Adam Sandler, Kevin James and Chris Rock, returns to the set, scheduled for release in summer 2027, and, adds Lida, "we want to thank with all our heart the production, the crew and the protagonists of the film, who have proven to be extraordinary, human people with huge hearts for welcoming Marco and Garçon with infinite sweetness, showering our 'boy' with cuddles, respect, praise and attention: seeing this treatment by great international stars sends a very powerful message: they chose a shelter dog, that life had condemned, saved and cared for with love, who today walks proudly under the Hollywood spotlight."
