New finds found in Arzachena: they were handed over by private citizens to the authorities

Saturday 15 June, presentation of the catalog and the new finds found in Arzachena. The catalog recounts the exhibition itinerary at the Ruzittu Civic Museum on the thousand-year history of Arzachena through more than 200 finds from different residential, funerary and cultural contexts.
The construction was promoted and financed by the Municipality of Arzachena and by GE.SE.CO. Arzachena surl. The two new finds were recently found in the municipal area of Arzachena and handed over by private citizens to the authorities. It is a decorated bronze bracelet from the Nuragic age recovered in the Funtana di la Idda area, near Monti Canu, and a transport amphora from the Imperial Roman age found on the beach of Porto Paglia, near the village of Porto Cervo .

The presentation of the catalog and the finds will take place at 5.30 pm, in the Nexus Space in via San Pietro. The initiative is promoted by the Municipality of Arzachena, through the delegate for Culture Valentina Geromino, by the Superintendence of Archaeology, Fine Arts and Landscape for the provinces of Sassari and Nuoro and by the municipal company Ge.se.co. Arzachena surl, manager of the museum.
The finds will be part of the exhibition “Time found again. Archaeological heritage of Arzachena from the Neolithic to Rome" inaugurated in April 2022 in the Michele Ruzittu Civic Museum of Arzachena. Exhibition which will remain open until 2026.
