The secret vote sinks the program agreement: new Cagliari stadium without hospitals and offices

The secret vote in the Regional Council blows up the program agreement that linked the fate of the new Cagliari stadium to that of the single hospital in place of Brotzu and Businco, the student residences and new regional offices in viale Trieste (expected, moreover, in an area barely restricted by the Superintendence). Now the 60 million regional funding for the "Gigi Riva" of the future is no longer tied to a plan of major works that had nothing to do with the facility.
The classroom is gathered to vote on the link to the Finance Act: everything has been included inside. The opposition had presented two amendments, one by the Democratic Party and the other by the Progressives, which intervened on the text of the budget law approved in February: both aimed at demolishing the program agreement and leaving only the item that linked the funds at the stadium.
Francesco Agus of the Progressives asked for the secret vote on the changes. First, the first corrective, from the Democratic Party, was rejected by one vote (28 no and 27 yes). And the group leader of FdI, Fausto Piga (who plays in the same party as Cagliari mayor Paolo Truzzu) wanted to expressly underline the loyalty of the Brothers of Italy to the line of the president of the Region, Christian Solinas: " We want the stadium but it's not with the blitz that is being done, it is not a right or left discourse ».
In the vote on the second amendment, however, one more councilor voted with the opposition and the corrective passed with 28 yes and 27 no.
Snipers in action, then. To which sector of the center-right they belong, however, at the moment it is not known.
The vote "frees" the stadium from a program agreement that didn't take off: the leaders of the Municipality and the Region met several times without the negotiation on the areas (for the construction of the hospital, for example) progressing an inch. The law has been rewritten. But in any case there is no certainty on the allocation of the 60 million regional ones.
«The Region and the Municipality have thrown away 6 months», is the sharp comment of Agus, who closes: «The majority is in pieces. There were more than 8 snipers».
