It is the first major artistic work dedicated to the legend Gigi Riva thanks to popular ownership . It was inaugurated this evening in Muravera and is the representation on a wooden panel of the figurine of the year of the championship. Panel which on Sunday will be positioned in the center of the town, on a wall a few meters from Piazza Europa.

The work was created by the master Danilo Murtas, a Muraverese who emigrated to Cesena and was present today at the inauguration which was held at the Mother Teresa oratory of Calcutta on the occasion of the anniversary of Cagliari's championship: «It is wonderful - said Murtas - when initiatives arise from the people, this is a social victory. For me, being here is an honor." There were 117 people from Sarrabea who contributed to the realization of the work (which cost 1230 euros) with a total collection of 1725 euros .

Coordinating the initiative - the project is called Hombre Vertical - Andrea Zinzula, now municipal councilor of Muravera and always a huge Cagliari fan. «This work – said Zinzula – will make Muravera more beautiful». Concept reiterated by Matteo Plaisant, councilor for sport: "The more works by Riva there will be, the more beautiful the town will be". One of Cagliari's greatest strikers ever, Gigi Piras, was present and applauded.
