Daniela Romano, who was an aspiring dancer at the time, took part in the edition then won by Dennis Fantina. In recent months, she had been diagnosed with a bad illness , which she fought until the end.

Mirna Brancotti , a former student of Maria De Filippi's school, broke the news of his death to the public. The former talent singer published a post on Facebook in which she announced the passing of her friend: «The stomach tightens, the heart tightens... we hold each other in a strong embrace of pain... we who lived through you and asked from afar, to others, how you were. Life is sometimes truly cruel for us human beings who still cannot understand Nature's choices. We think of you, Daniela. We think of you strongly from down here."

Great condolences also from Dennis Fantina , who posted a video dedicated to Romano on Instagram.

And then the pain of Paolo Idolo , who had a flirtation with Daniela: «There was a first look, when we were on opposite sides of the stands, only that I had already noticed a couple of looks before... but they were only mine, she had yet to notice me.
