It is the Spaniard Jorge Martin who conquered the first MotoGP pole position in the 2022 season, after qualifying for the Qatar GP.

The Ducati Pramac rider finished with the best time in 1'53''011, ahead of the Italian Enea Bastianini (Ducati Gresini) and the multiple world champion Marc Marquez, on Honda.

Followed by Jack Miller with the factory Ducati and the Espargaro brothers, Aleix (Aprilia) and Pol (Honda). Third row for Brad Binder (Ktm), Joan Mir (Suzuki) and Francesco Bagnaia with the factory Ducati.

The Yamahas are in trouble with the reigning world champion Fabio Quartararo only eleventh, followed by Franco Morbidelli.
