The Morocco expedition Women challenge , also sponsored by Aou Sassari and promoted to convey a message of courage to those who fight against cancer, ended.

A few tears and happiness for the bikers who, in total, have covered 350 km . Today transfer to Marrakech by 4WD (600 km) to return to Sardinia on Monday.

Last night, at about 4.30 pm Italian time, they reached Tamnouglt, a small oasis in the Atlas Mountains dominated by Mount Kissane and located in the Draa river valley, a few kilometers from the village of Agdz.

“We stopped feeling pain 20 km from the finish - says Paola Zonza - and we got this explosion of tears, of silent emotions, experienced by each in their own way. In a silent way and in meditation we have thus finished this stage ”.

“We got excited - says Daniela Tocco - we didn't even feel any difference in height. We were more united than usual, I liked it so much. And not just with the girls but with the whole group. At the end of the stage we felt the union and the strength that we have given to each other in all these days ”.

“Over 46 km, I pedaled 20 with tears - adds Donatella Mereu - today I felt I wanted to be alone. I stopped every now and then, even to get excited in front of these truly unique and splendid views ".

Leading the adventure is the caravan leader, Maurizio Doro, an experienced biker and a fine connoisseur of Morocco. With them also the coach Antonio Marino then Michele Marongiu, creator of the adventure, the videomaker Pierandrea Maxia who documented every single stage. And then the doctor of the group, Dr. Rita Nonnis, breast surgeon of the Aou of Sassari.

A challenge that the Sassari Aou has supported since the beginning, sponsoring it and donating a first aid kit. A way to demonstrate the closeness to these women who, after a care path of cancer treatment, wanted to promote a message of courage and demonstrate that all difficulties can be overcome with a lot of commitment, dedication and inner strength.
