The highest step of the podium in the national championships of mixed martial arts (MMA) which took place at the Palatine Hill in Rome is Sardinian.

The young Sassarese Matteo Dore , of the Angelo Tarantini team, won it. Barely of age, the only fighter in the absolute Junior category, Dore made his debut in the superior category, Senior blue belts.

Passed to the quarter-finals by draw, in the semifinals he defeated Riccardo Belardini thanks to the unanimous verdict of the judges. Excellent defense of the Sardinian from the strong wrestling of the rival, the striking techniques and the solid ground and pound of Dore made the difference.

In the final the Sassari was not intimidated by the highly rated Simone Todari and by the experience gap against the fighter who boasted a record of 10 wins, of which 5 before the limit. He immediately put him on the ground and kept him on the ground for the entire duration of the match , with some attempts at submission. A victory that has never been in question.

Also the other Sassari Morgan Capocci did well, who in the second round defeated Francesco Santomo with a guillotine before surrendering to the more experienced Alex Turcato.
