A semi-final on tiptoe, in the name of elegance and art. The Miss World Sardinia tour stops tomorrow, Sunday, April 19, in Cagliari , at the historic Assunta Pittaluga dance school, for an event that combines the allure of beauty with the expressive language of dance.
The contestants competing in the selection process will be hosted in an exceptional setting: the school founded in 1973 by Assunta Pittaluga, a key figure in the development of dance on the island, transforming it from a simple recreational activity to an educational and theatrical discipline. This legacy is now carried on by Alberto Pala and Paola Scaia, who continue a rigorous yet inclusive teaching model, open to students of all ages and levels.
The winners of the evening will advance to the regional final on April 26, 2026, together with the other finalists selected in the previous stages.
Thus continues the process that will lead to the election of the Sardinian representative destined to compete at the national and, eventually, international level. "We are happy and honored to host the semifinalist of Miss World Sardinia," Pala and Scaia explain. "We have long shared with Alessia Ghisoni a journey that combines art, beauty, and inclusion."
Alessia Ghisoni, a fashion entrepreneur who has led the regional organization since this year, has brought a new vision to the event. Known for bringing international events to Sardinia, she is relaunching the competition by focusing on values such as authenticity and respect. "Dance and beauty pageants are born from an idea of purity," she emphasizes. "They are spaces where talent and inner light can emerge. It is essential to defend this dimension from those who risk compromising it, restoring dignity and inclusiveness to these experiences."
Hosting the evening will be Anthony Peth, a well-known figure on national television, who will lead the audience on a journey through emotions, dreams, and aspirations. Miss World, after all, continues to represent much more than a beauty competition: it's an opportunity for many young women to challenge themselves, share their stories, and pursue a goal that can open the doors to a global stage. Numerous applications have arrived from all over Italy, but only one contestant will be able to win the title and bring with her the country's identity and pride.
