Important wedding in the Sardinian mineral water market. ALB, owner of the Smeraldina di Tempio brand, has acquired competitor Santa Lucia di Bonorva. "Santa Lucia natural mineral water - explains the company - is not only a glorious piece of Sardinian history, it is also one of the first bottled mineral waters in the world and in Italy: it will turn 130 in 2025. And, for this reason, the acquisition of the Santa Lucia di Bonorva company by ALB, the producer of Acqua Smeraldina, is also and above all an act of responsibility towards this great and very long history".
Alb closed 2023 with revenues of 20 million euros, while Acqua Minerale Santa Lucia Srl recorded revenues of 1.1 million euros in 2023, down from 1.9 million the previous year. "This acquisition," the company continues, "will bring Santa Lucia into a new context without ever forgetting its important tradition, indeed, enhancing its values."
