Alicia Giménez-Bartlett succeeds Emmanuel Carrère and Nobel Prize winner Orhan Pamuk in the roll of honor of the Costa Smeralda Award: the Spanish writer, among the most read authors also in Italy thanks to the character of Inspector Petra Delicado, played by the actress Paola Cortellesi, protagonist of the Sky noir series of the same name, will collect the 2024 International Award during the official ceremony on May 4th at the Conference Center in Porto Cervo.

The announcement was made this morning in Milan, during the presentation which took place at the headquarters of the Rovati Foundation, by Renzo Persico, president of the Costa Smeralda Consortium, Mario Ferraro, vice-president of the Costa Smeralda Consortium, and Stefano Salis, artistic director of the literary prize. In addition to the winner of the International Award, the identity of the winner of the Special Award was revealed, which will go to the Olbia rapper Salmo, one of the most influential on the Italian music scene, and the winner of the Mediterranean Culture Award, identified this year as Mariasole Bianco .

The three finalists for Fiction have also been announced, with Ginevra Lamberti, Eugenio Murrali and Evelina Santangelo competing, and for Non-Fiction: Maurizio Ferraris, Vera Gheno and Vincenzo Trione. The winners will be announced during the final ceremony.
