Messi and his companions returned to Argentina: crowds for the heroes of Qatar

The plane carrying world champion Argentina returned from Qatar to Ezeiza International Airport in Buenos Aires at 2:40 local time (6:40 in Italy).

For Messi and his companions, crowds among the fans, with the now traditional bus tour through the streets of the capital.

Millions of people took to the streets, singing, chanting and dancing, to greet the heroes who, by beating France on penalties in the final in Qatar, brought the World Cup back home – the third in the history of the Albiceleste – which had been missing since 1986, when it was Diego Armando Maradona who raised it.
