Marc Márquez won the sprint race of the Americas GP, third round of the MotoGP world championship, on the Austin circuit (Texas). It is the third victory for the Spanish rider of the official Ducati in the short race on Saturday, obtained ahead of his brother Álex (Ducati Gresini), second, and his teammate Francesco Bagnaia, third.
Márquez finished eight tenths ahead of his brother Álex and just under two seconds ahead of a recovering Bagnaia . Fabio Di Giannantonio and Franco Morbidelli stopped at the foot of the podium, fourth and fifth respectively with the Ducati-VR46s.
Sixth place for Fabio Quartararo with Yamaha, followed in seventh by the Spaniard Pedro Acosta (KTM) and in eighth Luca Marini (Honda) . The Japanese Ai Ogura took the ninth position with the Aprilia-Trackhouse, while in tenth place Marco Bezzecchi with the official Aprilia.
In the standings, Marc Márquez has reached 86 points, 19 more than his brother. Bagnaia is third with 50. The race in Austin is at 9pm (Italian time) tonight .
