The Council of Ministers approved the Nadef, the update note to the economic and finance document, giving shape to the framework of the next budget law. A budget that will be characterized by «seriousness and common sense» and in which «the aid to families with medium-low incomes and the cutting of the wedge will be confirmed».

The deficit space obtained by the executive is around 14 billion. The 2024 GDP according to the document will grow by 1.2%, while the debt for 2024 is set at 140.1%.

"For next year we will confirm essential interventions for the benefit of medium-low incomes, in particular the wedge cut and bonus measures for the birth rate as well as significant allocations for the renewal of the public employment contract", said the Minister of Economy Giancarlo Giorgetti.

«We have launched the Nadef, which is the framework that defines the next budget law. We are working to write an economic maneuver in the name of seriousness and common sense. And that we keep the commitments we have made with the Italians: enough with the waste of the past, all the available resources destined to support the lowest incomes, cut taxes and help families", wrote Giorgia Meloni on social media.

There will be no extension of the Superbonus, while the allies hold back Salvini on the Strait Bridge. The Northern League leader wants to open construction sites in 2024, but Fratelli d'Italia "doubts that there will already be contracts next year". Giorgetti reassures: in 2024 "there will be a first allocation". Tajani is also cautious: «Given that it must be done because it is a commitment that we at Forza Italia have made and it was a choice made by Silvio Berlusconi, we will see what the timescales will be and what investments can be made in this maneuver».
