A prison order was issued by a Spanish court against Lucas Hernandez, Bayern Munich and French national team player, brother of Milan full-back Theo.
The footballer is accused of crimes related to gender-based violence in the context of his romantic relationship with his ex-partner, Amelia Llorente.
The disputed facts date back to 2017, when Hernandez wore the Atletico Madrid shirt. Following a violent altercation with the woman, the judge had ordered him and his partner to stay apart, but the two had then reconciled, leaving together for a trip to Miami. Hernandez's position had thus escalated, with the new charge of violating a court order.
However, the player had asked for the suspension of the sentence (six months) for this sentence: request denied, as the player already had two other convictions against him for crimes related to gender violence.
The criminal court of the Iberian capital has therefore now ordered the player's imprisonment, asking him to appear before the judge on 19 October for the trial.
