Macbettu, or the work of Shakespeare recited in Sardinian, never ceases to enchant. At the umpteenth rerun, after the many successes obtained in four years in Sardinia, in the Peninsula and in the world, Alessandro Serra's show was able to record a sold out on Wednesday on the second day of the subscription show in the autumn season of the TEN Teatro Eliseo Nuoro, before leaving for Paris, at the Théâtre du bouffe du nord directed since 1974 by Peter Brook and then again Spain, Russia and Serbia.

The hold on the public of this masterpiece has multiple responses, one of which was found right at the Elysée. An emigrant decided to return to Nuoro after ten years to see Macbettu. Michele Concas got on a plane with his girlfriend Valentina and sat in the audience to admire the show. He was very excited because he hadn't seen the Elysée open to the public since he was a child.

After the date in Nuoro, Macbettu is still staged on the island on 23 and 24 September at the Teatro Grazia Deledda in Paulilatino.

Everything is known about Serra's work. It is Shakespeare's Macbeth recited in Sardinian (with translation and linguistic advice by Giovanni Carroni) and, as in the purest Elizabethan tradition, played by men only. The idea was born during a photographic reportage between the carnivals of Barbagia. Serra gave it substance and the result was a theatrical piece that met with almost unanimous acclaim.

The weekly programming of the Eliseo Theater did not end with Macbettu but continues on Friday 24 September at 20.30. On the occasion of Sharper "The European researchers' night", Ten proposes "Incoscienza", a show created by physicist / actor Ramon Pilia that involves the public in exciting scientific experiments. Free admission with compulsory reservation.
