Luigi Di Maio becomes a father.

"Gabriel was born a few hours ago," the former grillino minister announced on social media, posting a photo of a little foot : "His wonderful mother is doing great. Alessia and I are so happy. He is the son of an extraordinary love ."

Di Maio, now the European Union Special Representative for the Gulf Region, has been linked to Alessia D'Alessandro for some time after the end of his relationship with Sardinian journalist Virginia Saba.

The baby was born in Germany, where D'Alessandro has been working for over 15 years.
