Living poets against dead poets: the Dead or Alive Poetry Slam in Sassari

A special three against three with verses. The competitive spirit of the poetry slam pits the work of three living poets against that of three deceased poets such as Pessoa, Cicitu Masala and Brottu Sarippa. It's called Dead or Alive Poetry Slam and will take place on Friday at 9.30pm after dinner at the Tical Music Pub in via Zanfarino 33 in Sassari. Free entry upon reservation.
The event is organized by Caats - Consorzio Artisti Artigiani Turritani Sardi in collaboration with Poetry Slam Sardegna, but as it is a special slam it is not included in the regular championship.
Among the living poets will take the stage: Maria Oppo, Enrico Pedrini and Giap. They will represent the dead poets: Federico Marras Perantoni who will play Brottu Sarippa, pseudonym of the polymath from Sassari Mario Aroca who lived between the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century and who also figures among the founders of Torres, Roberto Demontis who will give voice to the Portuguese Fernando Pessoa, a giant of literature European, Pietro Ortu who will embody Cicitu Masala, one of the greatest Sardinian poets.
The MC (Master of Ceremonies) of the evening will be Alessandro Doro, actor, performer and poet from Sassari, as well as winner of the first Dead or Alive Poetry Slam organized in Italy in 2017, who will bring compositions taken from his show "Eppoinulla".
