Katy Perry keeps us waiting, but when she takes the stage at Cala di Volpe, where she starts off strong with “California Gurls”, “Teenage Dream” and “Last Friday Night”, she makes up for the 20-minute delay.
The American pop star lights up the night on the Costa Smeralda with a live performance full of her greatest hits and captivating choreography, often involving the paying audience, among whom she strolls as if nothing was happening, at a certain point, singing “Roar”.
Over 500 guests attended the Gala Night at the hotel owned by Smeralda Holding and managed by Marriott International, and the highlight was the concert by the 41-year-old Californian artist, accompanied on this occasion by her partner, former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
After the welcome cocktail and the elegant gala dinner, the audience enjoyed Katy Perry's show, returning to Sardinia, where she loves to spend her holidays, in the midst of her world tour for the exclusive live performance at Cala di Volpe.
The setlist, in addition to the aforementioned opening tracks, also includes "I Kissed a Girl," "Firework," "I'm His, He's Mine," "Bon Appétit," and "Wide Awake," to name a few. Then, when Katy Perry's show ends, the other show kicks off at 12:30 PM: the fireworks display, bidding everyone farewell until next summer.
