Kate Middleton also gives in to the Christmas sweater, strictly red.
The Duchess of Cambridge chose him to shoot the trailer for "Together at Christmas", a concert that will be broadcast on the evening of Christmas Eve on ITV: it is a cashmere cardigan by the Italian Miu Miu, with a white collar, roses of the same color as a decorative motif and mother-of-pearl buttons. The cost? 1,400 euros.
And on the English tabloids, many saw the choice as a tribute (and it would not be the first) to Lady Diana, mother of Kate's wife, William.
In 1981 the then wife of Prince Charles had in fact sported - obviously without going unnoticed - a red sweater, with a very similar collar. In place of roses, many white sheep, where one - the only one - of black color stood out. An iconic creation of Warm and Wonderful recently revived by the Rowing Blaze clothing company.
