Juve has decided to say goodbye to Thiago Motta and is ready to start again with Igor Tudor, expected in Turin this evening.

The news, which was in the air, is given as practically certain by the Gazzetta dello Sport.

The 3-0 defeat in Florence, which came after the humiliating 0-4 home defeat to Atalanta, prematurely wrecked the multi-year project, which never took off, with the former Bologna coach.

Tudor has won over Roberto Mancini. He has a contract only until the end of the season: there are no renewal clauses, although he could stay if he were to achieve the last remaining objective, qualification for the next Champions League.

Juve are currently fifth, one point away from fourth place, which is worth a place in the Champions League, occupied – ironically – by Vincenzo Italiano's Bologna, who achieved the feat last year with Thiago.

The reasons for Motta's dismissal are in the results, of course, but not only. The now worn relationship between the coach and part of the locker room also weighs.
