"Work sites in the health sector violate workers' rights and create new precariousness". This is what the leaders of the League in Sardinia claim, pointing the finger at the experimental plan of the Regional Council that allocates 9 million euros for employment sites.
Representatives of the Carroccio reiterated, in a press conference, their opposition to the measure passed by the regional Department of Labor for the temporary hiring of nurses and social health workers and to announce a bill that extends the validity of all competitive rankings in the Region by one year, from December 31, 2025 to December 31, 2026.
"A one-off measure, useless and harmful - underlined the regional coordinator of the League Michele Pais - the health work sites go against the acquired rights of professionals who have passed the Ares competitions. The Council should withdraw the provision and authorize the scrolling of the rankings with the permanent hiring of those entitled".
The League's representatives are concerned about the temporary nature of the hirings, which do not resolve the critical issues of the island's health system: "The risk is that of unleashing a war between the poor - underlines regional councilor Alessandro Sorgia - we ask that the rights of those eligible for the competitions be respected and that the stabilizations be carried out. The resolution of the Council is only a waste of resources".
For Alessandra Zedda, former Labor Councilor of the Solinas government, the money allocated for the health employment sites does not come from European funding: "Contrary to what has been said, these are resources taken away from the Lavoras program - said Zedda - we are talking about funds that local authorities use to help the weakest groups in society. In this way, the resources to guarantee fundamental services such as the provision of the Reis by the Municipalities, struggling with bare-bones staffing, will be lacking".
