Jai Hindley won the 105th edition of the cycling Giro d'Italia , which ended today after an individual time trial with arrival in the Verona Arena .

This is the first success in over a century for an Australian runner .

Hindley, 26, is a member of the UCI WorldTeam Bora – Hansgrohe

The last stage of the Corsa rosa saw the victory of the Italian time trial champion Matteo Sobrero . In second place the Dutch Thymen Arensman, third the other Dutch Mathieu Van der Poel.
