Flavia Mello Agonigi, the 54-year-old woman missing for days in Pontedera (Pisa), was found dead this afternoon in a house not far from Casciana Terme, another town in the Pisa area.

According to investigative sources, the State Police also arrested a man believed to be responsible for the murder.

The body of the 54-year-old, missing since October 11, was found in a home.

From what we understand, the alleged murderer is a 34-year-old Italian.

The investigations coordinated by the Pisa prosecutor's office, explains a note from prosecutor Teresa Angela Camelio, «have allowed us to locate the car used by Flavia Mello Agonigi, regularly parked and locked in the Sant'ermo area, in the municipality of Cascina Terme Lari and immediately afterwards the agents of the Flying Squad and the Pontedera police station also identified the house where the victim's body was found.

The 34-year-old is "a resident of the same municipality and was taken to the police station in Pisa where he was placed under judicial arrest on suspicion of murder."
