The 43-year-old man who stabbed his 31-year-old partner in their home in Muggiò (Monza) shortly before dinner was arrested for attempted femicide . The couple was in the process of separating and has a two-year-old son , who was present at the time of the attack.

According to initial reports, the man, who worked in a garage, later showed up alone at the Monza Carabinieri station after the attack , his clothes covered in blood: "I stabbed my partner," he told the officers.

He was later questioned by the magistrate on duty, to whom he confessed to having stabbed her several times during an argument . The woman managed to call for help and was assisted by family members and acquaintances. The deepest wounds were to her chest and her condition remains serious.
