With the car against a wall, a young mother of Sardinian origin dies in Abruzzo

A terrible car accident in Abruzzo cost the life of a young mother of Sardinian origin. Vanessa Carta, 31, was in the car with her husband and three-month-old son. The Panda went off the road on Statale 83, between Pescina and Venere, in the Aquila area, ending up against a wall.

The woman died practically on the spot while the child and her husband were rescued and taken to hospital by 118.

The family lived in Gioia dei Marsi, where the mayor declared the city mourning. At the base of the tragedy there could be a sleepiness. The Avezzano Public Prosecutor's Office opened a file for manslaughter, entering her husband, who was driving the car, in the register of suspects.
