Wife of a policeman stabbed to death, brother-in-law arrested

A 52-year-old woman, Rosalba dell'Albani, was stabbed to death. His brother-in-law, Mariano Barresi, 66, was arrested by the police for the murder.

The incident took place last night in Giarratana, in the province of Ragusa, in the home of the victim's elderly mother, where the woman was to look after her at night. The 52-year-old is the wife of a police brigadier serving in the Sicilian city. At the moment, an investigation is underway to reconstruct the motive for the crime, which could be connected to previous family quarrels. The investigation is coordinated by the Ragusa prosecutor's office.
