WhatsApp, after hours of down, starts working again but in fits and starts.

From about 8:30 this morning, reports of those who could not use the messaging system owned by Meta (Facebook) multiplied , which seems offline. Meta's other services (like Facebook and Instagram) worked fine.

"We are aware that some people are having trouble sending messages. We are working to restore WhatsApp as soon as possible," a WhatsApp spokesperson said.

As usual, several users have flocked to Twitter with the hashtag #Whatsappdown. The latest WhatsApp outages dated back to about a year ago , on October 4, 2021 when there was a "down" of all the apps of the Meta group, including Instagram and Facebook, for six hours. On that occasion, after the restoration of the services, the official apologies of the founder Mark Zuckerberg had also arrived.
