The woman and her baby girl, just a few months old, found dead on Saturday afternoon in Rome, at Villa Pamphili, are a mother and daughter.

Confirmation came from DNA analysis that confirmed the relationship between the two. The Flying Squad is currently investigating the incident.

Of the reports arriving in these hours, two are currently considered to be of investigative interest. In particular, the story of a woman who claims to have seen, on Friday evening, a man with a little girl in his arms inside the villa and not far from the place where she was later found.

Also being examined by investigators - who have also released images of the woman's tattoos , in the hope of obtaining information on her identity - is the testimony of three minors who contacted 112 and provided, essentially, the same story as the other witness: a man with a bundle in his arms in the park's avenues.

The police are now looking for further, decisive clues to help them trace the unknown man.
