Tragedy on the A4 motorway.

The death toll from a road accident that took place on Friday afternoon in the three-lane section at the San Donà di Piave tollbooth between the entrance and exit of the Trieste junction is six dead .

Two vehicles involved, a van and a truck .

According to an initial reconstruction, the van - on board of which there were seven people - violently collided with the articulated vehicle which was proceeding at low speed.

On the spot, after the alarm, the firefighters, the police and the 118 staff intervened.

Help was useless for six of the people on board. A seventh person, seriously injured, was transferred to the hospital in Mestre.
