Bad weather continues to rage in Tuscany and Emilia Romagna . Red alert still in place for flood risk in Valdarno , and for hailstorms and tornadoes between Bologna and Ferrara with the alert moving to river banks and avalanche risk.

In Tuscany , the fear of the Arno flooding in Florence has passed, now the alert is from Empoli to the coast, with Pisa, Pontedera, Santa Croce and the Livorno area in the crosshairs , and in the basin of the Bisenzio and Ombrone Pistoiese rivers, between Prato, Pistoia and the Florentine plain.

The Arno and its tributaries slowly fall after the floods of the night and the network of ditches and streams that feed them is frightening : they are saturated like the land that surrounds them, every type of rain worsens the situation. There is a risk of landslides and mudslides.

President Eugenio Giani has requested the declaration of a national state of emergency . The government is examining the request with the head of civil protection Fabio Ciciliano today in Florence.

In Prato, the Municipality has asked the population not to go near the banks and banks of the waterways. Mud is being shoveled in Mugello, in Vaglia, which is just north of Florence, in Rufina, in San Piero, in Contea, in Dicomano, all towns flooded by the Sieve. Dozens and dozens of houses are still isolated. The electricity went out to 1,200 users in the Florentine area, half were repaired on Saturday morning, others were missing.

The prefecture of Florence has counted 14 municipalities with residents isolated in villages and hamlets. Teams of volunteers, firefighters, and law enforcement are reaching them .
