Tragic crash on the A14, a Sardinian truck driver dies

After a few hours of agony he died in the San Benedetto hospital due to the serious injuries sustained in a terrible road accident on the A14 motorway, between Grottammare and San Benedetto, in the province of Ascoli Piceno.

The victim is a 51-year-old Sardinian truck driver, Marco Cassano , originally from Sassari and residing in Castelfidardo. The crash, for reasons to be ascertained, occurred with another heavy vehicle.

When paramedics arrived at the scene, the man was conscious and in a state of shock. Taken away in red code, he underwent emergency surgery but attempts to save his life were useless .
